South Williamsport woman found intoxicated on bridge allegedly kicked officer
While on the Maynard Street bridge about 3:20 p.m. on Nov. 3, Kimberly Dawn Drzewicki was so drunk that another woman had to hold her up because she was “in danger of falling into traffic,” it was stated in South Williamsport police affidavit. When an officer attempted to take her into custody because of her intoxication, the 40-year-old woman kicked the officer hard hard in his right shin and attempted to bite his hand, it was alleged. Following her arraignment before District Judge Kirsten Gardner on charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, Drzewicki, of 2234 Riverside Drive, South Williamsport, was initially jailed, but has since been released on $25,000 bail. At her arraignment, Drzewicki admitted she was addicted to alcohol. An officer told the judge the borough police department had 28 incidents with her over an undisclosed amount of time, and that most of the time involved the woman’s alcohol use. She was held for court Monday on all the charges.
