While employed as a bartender at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post at 201 N. Lincoln Ave in Jersey Shore during the summer, Richard B. McAlister stole an estimated $1,224 from the organization, Lycoming Regional police alleged in an affidavit filed at Dieter’s office. WHen questioned about the theft, McAlister, 52, of 250 Culvert St., Jersey Shore, “admitted to taking the money, but was unsure of the total amount he had stolen,” an officer wrote in the court document. Charged with one misdemeanor count of theft, McAlister has been sent summons to appear before the judge.
