Williamsport woman charged with assaulting UPMC police officer
After arriving at the UPMC Williamsport Emergency Department by ambulance on Oct. 9, Lisa Renee Llewellyn, 60, of 137 North St., Apt. 3, allegedly caused a scene by berating a UPMC police officer with profanity and racial slurs before the confrontation turned physical, according to officials with the UPMC police department.
“You should be deported,” Llewellyn allegedly said before getting within arms-length of the officer, at which point the officer put her arms up to create distance between them.
It was then that Llewellyn allegedly shoved the officer, who responded in kind to help maintain distance. While attempting to restrain Llewellyn, the officer was allegedly struck in the groin area by Llewellyn, according to court filings.
She was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault of an enumerated person, harassment and disorderly conduct by District Judge Denise Dieter, and released on $20,000 bail.
