Domestic disturbance lands Montgomery man behind bars

During an argument with a female family member in his Montgomery home at 81 Broad St. on Dec. 1, Douglas Duane Hans spun the woman around “and placed his arm around her neck, impeding her ability to breathe,” it was alleged in a state police affidavit on file at Gardner’s office. The alleged assault lasted “one to two minutes and caused the victim’s vision to go fuzzy,” said police, adding that they were not told of the incident until Feb. 20. Hans, 44, was arraigned last week on one felony charge of strangulation and jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Starting at $2.99/week.
