List of preeminent attorneys includes city lawyer
Martindale-Hubbell, the preeminent American list for lawyers, has once again named Clifford A. Rieders a Preeminent Attorney with the highest possible rating, A with respect to legal ability and V as to ethics. This covers the year 2026.
The Martindale-Hubbell registry is a rating system for lawyers based upon an evaluation of other lawyers, according to a news release. The coveted AV rating does not automatically indicate that a lawyer will be designated “preeminent.” Mr. Rieders is a partner in the law firm of Rieders, Travis, Dohrmann, Mowrey, Humprey & Waters.
Rieders is a member of the Pennsylvania, New York State, and Washington D.C. Bars as well as numerous federal courts and the United States Supreme Court.
Rieders is a Cum Laude Phi Beta Kappa graduate New York University and graduated from Georgetown University Law School.
The attorney is a past president of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, now the Pennsylvania Association of Justice and is a past president of the Federal Bar Association, Central Pennsylvania region. Mr. Rieders is also a life member of the American Law Institute, a national organization which drafts Restatements for use throughout the country so the courts may have a uniform approach to the law.
Rieders is a past member of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Procedural Rules Committee and is currently a member of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Standard Jury Instruction Committee.
“I am proud to be a long term recipient of the AV rating and the designation of a preeminent lawyer. I fully appreciate the responsibility this entails,” Rieders said, according to the news release.
