Man promoted to operations manager

Erie Materials, a regional distributor of building materials in New York and Pennsylvania, has made several promotions and new hires. According to a news release, Dave Confer was promoted to operations manager at the Williamsport branch. He joined Erie Materials in 2020 as an inside sales representative. Previously, he worked in the warehouse, delivery operations and inside sales. Melanie Grevelding has been promoted to credit manager. Kathleen Herzog was hired as a credit administrator. Pennsylvania College of Technology has appointed Kate Hummel as senior director of campus life and the residential experience. She began her duties on June 10. Hummel, who has extensive administrative, teaching and advising experience, comes to Penn College from Lycoming College, where she was associate dean of students. The Innovative Manufacturers’ Center recently announced its continued partnership with The Manufacturers’ Association to support training in electrical safety in central and southcentral Pennsylvania through December 2024.
