University band to perform spring show

LOCK HAVEN — The Commonwealth University-Lock Haven band will perform its Spring Concert on Wednesday, March 6 at 7 p.m. in the Price Performance Center Auditorium. The band will be joined by the Juniata College band to perform music from "The Phantom of the Opera," "The Pirates of the Caribbean" and an entertaining work entitled "Celebration." The spring concert is free and open to the public.

CU awarded funding to support early childhood educators

Commonwealth University (CU) has been awarded a fifth year of funding from the Early Childhood Education Professional Development Organization at PASSHE (ECEPDO@PASSHE) to break down barriers and build greater career pathways for early childhood educators. The Stadler Center for Poetry and Literary Arts annual Writers’ Series continues on March 5 with two Pennsylvania authors Abby Minor and Tyler James Russell, according to a press release.
