Richard Day Clark, 41, who is homeless, has been jailed on charges of simple assault and harassment after punching a female acquaintance three times in the face in a park in Lewis Township on June 10, state police alleged in the affidavit. When the woman reported the assault the next day, the trooper noticed “bruising to both her eyes and her eyes,” court records stated. Following his arraignment days later before District Judge Denise Dieter, Clark was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
