Variety of charges lodged in Lycoming County district courts

Muncy man arrested for allegedly assaulting brother

Tristen Parsons, 28, of 19. S. Market St., apartment 1, Muncy, has been charged with simple assault and harassment for punching his brother in the face “four to five times” during a disturbance in the apartment they share about 7:15 p.m. Saturday, borough police alleged in a court document. While the victim was being treated at UPMC Muncy, Parsons was arraigned before District Judge William Solomon and remains jailed in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Felony trespassing charge lodged against city man

Following a recent preliminary hearing before Solomon, Seth Eugene Fisher, 33, of 1675 ½ Terrace Place, has been held for court on charges of felony trespassing and harassment after he is alleged to have illegally entered a home in the 300 block of Riverview Drive in Susquehanna Township on the afternoon of Aug. 31, according to state police. When one of the home’s occupants later confronted Fisher about being in the house illegally, Fisher “threatened to fight him,” it was alleged in an affidavit. He remains incarcerated in lieu of $15,000 bail.

Woman jailed for allegedly abusing 911

Jessica Lynn Baxter, of 1153 Towncrest Road, was arrested Saturday night for repeatedly calling 911 when there was no emergency, city police alleged in an affidavit. When officers initially responded to her home earlier in the day after she had called 911 twice, the 36-year-old woman told them that “all she wanted was someone to (talk) to,” it was stated in the court document. She was told then that she would be arrested if she continued to tie up 911 lines when there was no emergency, police said. She assured the officers that she understood the consequences, police added. However, they soon went back to her apartment after Baxter allegedly called 911 three more times, police said, adding that she was found to be “extremely intoxicated.” In the last week alone, Baxter called 911 for no emergencies at least 10 times, the affidavit stated. Charged with one misdemeanor count of abusing the 911 communications system, Baxter was arraigned before Solomon and initially jailed, but has since been released on $2,500 bail.

Starting at $2.99/week.
