Third St., after staying there between May 19 and May 25, state police alleged in an affidavit.
Arraigned last week before District Judge William Solomon, Edmonds remains jailed in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $7,500 bail.
Three face drug charges in separate cases
Travis Seals, 28, of 1648 Scott St., has been charged with delivery of a controlled substance and illegal use of a communication device for allegedly selling a gram of fentanyl to an informant for $80 in the 100 block of Maynard Street in the city on Aug. 22, according to an affidavit filed by the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU). Following his arraignment Tuesday before Solomon, Seals was jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail.
In another case, Tyler John McKinney, 32, of 45 Fisher Road, Cogan Station, was charged by the narcotics unit with possession of a controlled substance (a bag of cocaine) in the 1600 block of Scott Street in the city on Feb. 9, it was stated in an affidavit. He has since waived his preliminary hearing before District Judge Christian Frey and is free on $10,000 bail.
In another case. Ronald Jaron Morton, 20, of 2422 ½ Dove St., was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after county detectives discovered a gram of marijuana in his city home while executing a search warrant there on July 10, according to an affidavit. He too waived his preliminary hearing before Frey and is free on $1,500 bail.
City man allegedly stole winning tickets
Wayne Jones, 61, of 377 W. Third St., apartment 4, has been charged with felony theft after he stole an estimated $3,500 in winning tickets from Christopher Knepley while Knepley was playing a skills machine at Harvest Moon, 535 Arch St., on July 15, city police alleged in an affidavit.
Knepley said he had inserted a $20 bill into the machine and while playing, he soon learned that he won a “designated $3,500 jackpot.”
Jones then approached Knepley and said he had been playing the machine before him, and this sparked a verbal argument between the two men, police said. Jones then printed the voucher tickets for the jackpot and allegedly fled the building with them, police said, adding that the entire incident was captured on surveillance footage. Upon reviewing the video, officers were able to identify Jones as the alleged thief.
Jones has waived his preliminary hearing before Frey and is free on $15,000 bail.
