Jersey Shore area man jailed on several charges
Bail was denied Monday for Colin James Best, 39, of 664 Geiler Hollow Road, Jersey Shore, after he was arraigned before District Judge William Solomon on two felony counts of sexual abuse of children, seven misdemeanor counts of invasion of privacy and one count each of corrupting the morals of a minor, furnish alcohol to a minor, indecent assault, endangering the welfare of a child and illegal use of a communication device, city police said.
The charges stem from Best video recording two female minors undressing in a bathroom and getting in a shower last year and earlier this year in the city, police alleged. The videos were recorded without the girls’ knowledge or consent, police alleged. It was also alleged that while he recorded one of the girls sleeping, he attempted to “manipulate her clothing to film” her private parts, police said. During that same time fame, Best furnished alcoholic beverages to three females who were under 21, it was alleged in a criminal complaint. He was committed to the Lycoming County Prison,
