South Williamsport man jailed on drug and firearm felony charges
Trayden Michael Beaghley, 19, of 337 Clark St., South Williamsport, has been locked up on felony firearm and drug charges after he was caught with two handguns without a permit, according to a detective with the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit. The teen had allegedly planned to sell one of the guns as well as a quarter pound of marijuana to an informant in the 1200 block of West Southern Avenue in the borough on Feb. 5, according to investigators, who intercepted Beaghley and took him into custody before the alleged sale was complete. Following his arraignment before District Judge Gary Whiteman on two counts of possession of a firearm without a permit as well as one count each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and illegal use of a cellphone, Beaghley was denied bail and remains incarcerated as of Wednesday night. He has since waived his preliminary hearing.
