Ex-employee charged with allegedly stealing from convience store

While employed at the 7-Eleven store at 1601 Dewey Ave., Williamsport, Alyssa Kay Mitchell, 27, of 1923 W. Fourth St., stole $233 worth of gift cards and merchandise from the business during the month of December, Lycoming Regional police alleged in an affidavit. Mitchell, who has since been terminated from her position, was charged with misdemeanor shoplifting and theft. She has since waived her preliminary hearing before Solomon and is free on $5,000 bail.
