“I want to see that history live on, meaning it is not forgotten,” said Lee of his time at the museum spent with the campers.

The camp is for children age 8- to 12-years-old.

Wayne Sager, a member of the North South Skirmish Association, brought along his 1861 Springfield rifled musket that was used during the Civil War. He also talked about the individual items that were worn and what the recruits would have gone through when they first went into the Army. Campers spent the week learning about the Victorian era and the Civil War.

Starting at $2.99/week.
