City of Williamsport drivers be alert as a portion of East Fourth Street between Basin and Mulberry streets has changed to a two-way traffic pattern, a step that Mayor Derek Slaughter said is the beginning of plans for more traffic changes to help business, smooth out congestion and improve safety for pedestrians and motorists.
Slaughter was at the site Tuesday morning to explain how when motorists get west of Mulberry that is one way traffic, but on East Fourth Street, between Basin and Mulberry, it is two way traffic directions.
“Please be careful, if you are traveling this section, this is two way,” Slaughter said.
For any questions he extended the offer for people to call his office at 570-327-7566.
