HARRISBURG — The head of Pennsylvania’s Treasury Department said her agency does not have the legal authority to pay the more than $1 million in recent security upgrades at Gov. Parking authority plans to sell lot near Via Bella

Williamsport City Council recently passed a resolution authorizing and approving the sale of Lot H by the Williamsport Parking Authority. “This is a parcel that the city had deeded to the authority in 2017,” said city Solicitor Austin White. As a deed restriction, it required that if the authority wanted to sell the parcel, it needed to get the city’s consent. The lot is accessed by Mulberry Street and is close to Via Bella.
