John Joseph Coledo

John Joseph Coledo, 90, of Edwardsville, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Allied Services Hospice Center, Wilkes-Barre, surrounded by his family.

Born in Williamsport on April 23, 1934, he was the son of the late John James and Mary (Zuchowski) Coledo.

John proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Patricia Manzitti and son-in-law, David Kosloski.

John is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Clementine (Steinbacher) Coledo; son, John (Pamela) Coledo; daughters, Judith Kosloski and Lisa (Jack) McNulty; grandchildren, Tara (Steve) Dorris, Kristin (Brady) Belles, John (Ariel) Coledo, David (Ashley) Kosloski, Sarah (Michael) Hliwski and Kaitlyn (Judd) Carr; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Michael (Diane) Coledo; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. from Kniffen O’Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services, 465 S. Main St, Wilkes-Barre. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Nicholas Church, 226 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, with Father Joseph Verespy officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township, with Military Honors.

Friends may call on Friday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
