Patricia F. “Patsy” Brooks

Patricia F. “Patsy” Brooks, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on July 12, 2025, at The Gatehouse in Williamsport. Born on April 5, 1941, in Jersey Shore, Patsy was 84 years old at the time of her passing.
Patsy dedicated her life to her family as a loving homemaker, always finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. She delighted in snowmobiling during the crisp winters and enjoyed shopping trips that often turned into cherished memories with loved ones. Patsy took immense joy in swimming and going on bike rides with her grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure. Her heart was fullest when surrounded by family, whether it was playing with her grandchildren or any children who crossed her path.
A devoted attendee of Calvary Baptist Church in Jersey Shore, Patsy’s faith was an integral part of her life, she was a Godly woman who knew and loved her Savior. She embraced her roles as a mom, gram, and great-grandmother with unwavering love and devotion.
On September 12, 1964, Patsy married the love of her life, Gale Brooks, with whom she shared a beautiful partnership for nearly 61 years. Together, they built a family rooted in love and kindness.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Edith (Laubauch) Fenstermaker; her son, Rod Brooks; and her grandson, Christian Brooks. She is survived by her beloved husband, Gale; her two sons, Stan (Becky) Brooks of Jersey Shore and Brad (Christie) Brooks of Avis; five grandchildren, Sharae (Bryce Bason) Brooks, Wade (Morgan) Brooks, Mackenzie Brooks, Jaylynn (Joey Mantek) Brooks, and Bailey Brooks; and a great-grandson, Easton Brooks. Patsy also leaves behind her dear sister, Judy (Fred) Machmer of Jersey Shore, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
A celebration of Patsy’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church, 315 Thompson St., Jersey Shore, with Pastor Jeffery Howell and Pastor Ryan Schildroth officiating. Family and friends are invited to attend a public viewing from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery, Avis.
