Monica Elaine Smith

Monica Elaine Smith, born on June 18, 1974, in Jersey Shore, Pa, passed away on September 18, 2025, at the age of 51.

Monica dedicated many years of her life working as a Retail Merchandiser for Frito Lay. Her love for family was paramount, and she cherished every moment spent with her beloved grandchildren. Monica found joy in simple pleasures, such as fishing and taking leisurely car rides through the country, often partaking in spotlighting adventures.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Bernard Hill; grandmother, Bernice Hill; and brother-in-law, Charles Eiswerth.

Monica is survived by her loving children, Jesse Smith (Madi Bailey), John Herb (Sydney Andrus), Jessica Smith (Colin Killion), and Katelyn Herb (Josh Berkheimer). She leaves behind cherished memories with her grandchildren, Asher Killion, Layla Herb, Neil Killion, Luka Berkheimer, Elliott Smith, Clark Killion, Everette Smith, Lily Berkheimer, Josie Herb, Gavin Smith and Emmitt Smith. She is also survived by her mother, Bonnie Umstead, her step-father, David Umstead, and her siblings, Barry (Jennifer) Hill, Barry (Michelle) Smith, Ronnie Smith (Katie Roupp), Tammy (Ward) Long, Katrina Eiswerth, Marsha Derrick, Eugene Derrick, Rodney Derrick, Jason Derrick, and Kimberly Derrick.
