Christine M. Gower

Christine M. Gower, 63, of Trout Run, died Friday, October 24, 2025, at UPMC Williamsport. Born October 22, 1962, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Edward C., and Betty J. (Williams) DelJanovan.

Christine has been together with Dale E. Gower since 1991, they decided to become husband and wife on May 21, 2011, and shared 14 years of marriage.

Christine and her husband Dale shared a wonderful life. Christine was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid, hunter, gardener, canner, and fisherman who enjoyed the many fishing trips to Canada. She loved horseback riding, cooking for her family, and the time she spent with her family and grandchildren.

Christine’s favorite time of the year was Christmas and the time she spent with her family celebrating. She loved taking and looking at old photographs that reminded her of all the good times that have been made.

Christine had many items on her “Bucket List” and was able to accomplish one of those items when she and Dale traveled to Alaska to visit family. Her artistic side would often show when she found the time for her arts and crafts. Christine was a member of Mountain View Fellowship Church of Bodines. She was a person who was very strong in her faith. Christine taught Sunday school and was very active within the church. She also believed in helping others by donating to several charities.

Christine is survived by her husband, Dale E. Gower, Sr., of Trout Run; mother, Betty J. DelJanovan, of Canton; daughter, Trisha J. (Jason) Hall, of Linden; sons, Dale E. (Allison) Gower, Jr., of Trout Run, Mark C. (Morgan) Gower, of Cogan Station; sister, Lisa A. Hall, of Cogan Station; brothers, Edward G. DelJanovan, of Canton, OH, Benjamin (Shirley) DelJanovan, of Williamsport, David (Rose) DelJanovan, of Whetstone, AZ; 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her father, Christine was preceded in death by son, Alvin H. Hall, Jr.; granddaughter, Faith Hall, and brother, Clifford W. DelJanovan.

Funeral services will be held noon on Saturday, November 8, at Mountain View Fellowship Church of Bodines, 202 Old Barn Rd. Trout Run, with Pastor Herbert J. H. Eby officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon at the church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to McCarty Thomas Funeral Home, Montoursville.
