Carl “Ted” Weigel
Carl “Ted” Weigel, 83, of Williamsport, died Sunday, December 7, 2025, at The Williamsport Home. Born October 12, 1942, in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Carl A. Weigel and the late Kathryn E. (Reese) Beyer.
Carl graduated from Montoursville High School in 1960 and went on to receive his BS in Economics from Rochester University. He was a US Air Force veteran who was stationed in England during his Air Force tenure. He was a member of American Legion Post 104 and of Faith United Methodist Church.
Carl was kind, fun loving, with a charismatic personality and a gift to gab. He was a sports enthusiast who was an avid follower of Penn State and Purdue. He enjoyed camping with family and world traveling, especially to Europe with friends Doug, Jean, and Jan. For 40 years Carl worked as a system Engineer for Kodak.
Carl is survived by a daughter, Janne L. Rossman, of Cincinnati, OH; son, Stanley “Brion” (Nina) Patt, of Carlsbad, CA; sisters, Deanna (Frank) Lupacchino, of Williamsport, Kay (George) Simpler, of Montoursville, Jo Ellen (Richard) Winder, of Montoursville; granddaughters, Maia Patt, Bria Patt, Sara Mellars, and by 3 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2025, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street Montoursville, with Rev. Ronald G. Montgomery officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
