Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who genuinely loved all her family. Additionally, she enjoyed listening to Cape Breton fiddle music. Margaret was an excellent baker, especially of pies and chocolate chip cookies and an avid reader. She was incredibly involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s activities throughout the years. Margaret was well-traveled visiting places like Hawaii, California, Georgia, and The Bahamas, and traveled overseas to visit Scotland, Italy, and Switzerland. Margaret was a long-time member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, in Montoursville.
She is survived by four daughters, Christina (Kenneth) Klingerman, of Montoursville PA, Janet (Frank) Smith, of Doylestown, PA, Donna (Yannick) Le Coz, of Waterford, N.Y., and Catherine Campbell, of Berkeley, Calif.; a son, Calvin Campbell, of New Cumberland; PA and seven grandchildren, Claire Smith and her fiancé, Julian Lutz, Caraline Le Coz, Ian Tamagno, Elena Tamagno, Nicolette Le Coz, Kennan and Cale Klingerman; three brothers, Elmer (Joan) MacDonald, of Nova Scotia, Canada, Angus MacDonald, of Somerville, Mass., and Eugene MacDonald, of Ontario, Canada; three sisters, Catherine Steele, of North Reading, Mass., Bernadette Simpson, of Somerville, Mass., and Theresa (Ray) Sanderson, of Wakefield, Mass.; two sisters-in-law, Carmel MacDonald, of Ontario, Canada, and Theresa MacDonald, of Nova Scotia, Canada. Margaret, known as the family matriarch, is survived by numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by five brothers, Allan MacDonald, Sylvester MacDonald, Wally MacDonald, Francis MacDonald, and Donnie MacDonald; an infant sister, Christina MacDonald; two brothers-in-law, Robert Steele and Bill Simpson; two sisters-in-law, Annie K. MacDonald and Kathleen MacDonald, and her Aunt Catherine Cleland, with whom she shared a very close relationship. Margaret was a beloved sister-in-law to the late Alec, Roderick, Howard and Harvey Campbell, Marie Blanche, and Edith Parziale.
