Max Wasson

Max Wasson, age 87, of Manheim, PA passed away on December 2nd, 2025 at home. He was the husband of Jacqueline Eshbach for 41 years. Following her death he married Eileen Mincemoyer. They were married for 23 years.

As a graduate of Williamsport Area High School he continued his education at Lock Haven State College and received his master’s degree at Clarion State College.

Max was a health and physical education teacher for 36 years. He taught at Loyalsock School District, South Williamsport School District, and ended his career at Lycoming Valley Middle School. He also coached wrestling at Williamsport Area Community College for 13 years.

During his retirement he enjoyed traveling throughout the United States in his RV and visited many European countries.

After moving to Lancaster County, he was a member of St Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Surviving besides his wife are his two sons, Brent and his wife Tina, and Kurt and his wife Nancy; granddaughters, Megan, Courtney and Carli; grandsons, Colton and Conrad and three great- granddaughters, Riley, Haley and Amberlee.

Also surviving are stepdaughters Nancy and Joanne and their children.

A memorial service to honor the life of Max will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 15th at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Avenue, Williamsport. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Interment will be at Montoursville Cemetery.
