William H. Kilpatrick, Jr.

William H. Kilpatrick Jr., 82, of Williamsport, passed peacefully surrounded by family at UPMC Williamsport on Monday, Jan. 12, 2026.

He was born in Williamsport on August 23, 1943, a son of the late William H. Sr. and Laura Jane (Van Horn) Kilpatrick.

Bill was a graduate of Williamsport High School. He served in the US Army Reserves. Bill worked on the safety and security force at Bethlehem Steel and retired from Lycoming County Prisons after more than 20 years as a Corrections Officer.

He was a member of the Sons of Italy Lodge # 2786; a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians; and a parishioner at St. Boniface Church. Known affectionately as “Killer,” he enjoyed eating, going out to eat, talking about food, storytelling, spending time with family and friends, and making everyone laugh. He also enjoyed fishing, reading, and watching TV.

His wife of 45 years, the former Ellen E. Sartori died April 25, 2012.

Surviving are sons, Eric A. (Sarah) Kilpatrick of Lewisburg, Andrew W. Kilpatrick of Williamsport, and Nicholas A. (Mary Ann) Kilpatrick of Muncy; two grandchildren, Owen and Cailyn Kilpatrick.

In addition to his parents and wife, a brother, Richard Kilpatrick, and half-sister Sylvia Brennan preceded him in death.

The family will receive family and friends from 9:15 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd, Williamsport, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial in St. Boniface Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Rd., Williamsport PA, 17701, or to St. Boniface Parish Church, 326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
