Eugene Harold Parmenter

Eugene Harold Parmenter, 77, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, after a short battle with cancer. He was born August 2, 1948, to William Randell and Beatrice Irene Parmenter of Smithfield. Gene lived a life rooted in family and hard work. He spent many years in warehouse work before finding great pride driving a bus for local college athletic teams. He enjoyed NASCAR, car shows, traveling, puzzles, and collecting red trucks, and cherished quiet visits and coffee with his mother.

He is survived by his children, Brian Parmenter (Chari), Tina Hartzell (Jeff), Pamela Suro (Nate), and Denise Parmenter; seven grandchildren; his mother, Beatrice Parmenter; siblings; extended family; and dear friends.

Services will be held February 7 at Gerald W. Vickery Jr. Funeral Home, Troy, PA, with visitation at 10 a.m. and a memorial service at 11 a.m.
