Muncy girl 1st to earn Eagle Scout
Aubrey Lynn Kreisher, 15, of Muncy, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in Scouting America. With this achievement, she becomes the first female Eagle Scout in Muncy.
Kreisher is a member of Troop 38G of Loyalsock, chartered by St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Her Eagle Scout Court of Honor was held February 22, 2026, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Muncy.
Distinguished guests included Lycoming County District Attorney Tom Marino; Pennsylvania State Representatives Jamie Flick and Joe Hamm; Lycoming County Commissioners Scott Metzger and Marc Sortman; Muncy Creek Township Supervisor Eric Newcomer; and Muncy School District Superintendent Dr. Craig Skaluba.
For her Eagle Scout service project, Kreisher led a conservation initiative at Rider Park in Trout Run. She organized volunteers to plant more than 125 native trees to enhance habitat for the American Woodcock and designed and installed educational signage at the planting sites. She was awarded a $1,500 grant from the Pennsylvania Native Plant Society to support the project and also created informational pamphlets for Rider Park to use with educational field trips and visitors. Her efforts helped create sustainable wildlife habitat while expanding environmental education opportunities within the community.
“It was important for me to complete a conservation-based Eagle Scout project because I want to lead others in making positive environmental impacts that will benefit future generations,” Kreisher said.
Kreisher began Scouting in October 2022 and has held several leadership roles, including Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Troop Guide, Quartermaster, Scribe, and Webmaster. She has earned 40 merit badges and was inducted into the Order of the Arrow, achieving Brotherhood status in 2025.
Reflecting on her journey, Kreisher said, “Becoming an Eagle Scout reaffirms my commitment to helping others–not just through my actions, but by setting an example and guiding others to do better for themselves and their community.”
Kreisher is a ninth-grade student at Muncy Jr./Sr. High School, where she participates in field hockey, track and field, Technology Student Association, and marching and concert band. She was also Clarinet 3 in the LCBDA Senior County Band. She plans to pursue higher education in math and science.
She is the daughter of Mark and Joanna Kreisher and has two brothers, Grant and Marshall. Her grandfather, John Hoch, and cousin, Adam Drumheller, are also Eagle Scouts. During the ceremony, Kreisher had the opportunity to re-pin her grandfather’s Eagle Scout medal, symbolizing the continuation of her family’s Scouting legacy.
She was also presented with an Ascending Eagle statue by her Scoutmaster, symbolizing strength, courage, and the future of female leadership in Scouting.
