Jacalyn Lee Street Hamaker

Jacalyn Lee Street Hamaker, 75, of Williamsport, passed away peacefully at Valley View Nursing Center on February 25, 2026.

Jacalyn was born in Booneville, NY on May 19, 1950 a daughter of the late John and Annabelle (Straka) Street.

She was a graduate of Utica Free Academy and earned two degrees from Lycoming College, a BA in Costuming and later a BA in Accounting. A talented designer, seamstress and quilter, she had been employed at the former Weldon’s, Stijfelkissie and Nippenose Textile before moving on to the former Alcan Cable now Prysmian, where she was employed for 29 years before retiring as a production supervisor.

She was an active member at St. Joseph the Worker Parish and a member of the Tiadaghton Quilt Guild.

Surviving is her husband of 49 years, Robert L. Hamaker, they were married February 19, 1977. In addition, Jacalyn is survived by sisters, Margaret Germano of Miami, Fla, Betsy Battles of Williamsport; brothers, Philip Street of Camilis, NY and Daniel Street of Williamsport.

There will be no visitation, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 W. 4th St., Williamsport 10 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, with her pastor, Rev. David W. Bechtel officiating, with burial to follow at Wildwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions if desired may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 711 W. Edwin St., Williamsport, PA 17701
