John D. Ryder, 82, of Trout Run, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2026 at the Williamsport Home with his loving wife, Judith (Remaley) Ryder, by his side. Born September 28, 1943, in Huntingdon, he was a son of the late Samuel H. and Marian “Betty” (Shenefelt) Ryder. John graduated from Juniata Valley High School in 1961 and went on to take some college classes at Penn State University. It was here that he met his future wife, Judith, and their love story began.
