Becoming complacent
I am close to having lived 9 decades. Three of which were in the service of my country. However, I wonder if it was all worth it. I really wonder how those who fought in two world wars and two peacekeeping missions feel. The concept of defending America by saving Europe and Asia to keep America safe was instilled in the youth of America and the American people. The Country was secure in the early years because it had two oceans protecting it. As time went on, science and engineering made any place on the planet an easy target via aircraft and missiles. Still, we stuck to the theory we have lived by: “fight wars on other people’s lands and it will keep America safe”.
Well, we have now been invaded by millions who have come here with the intent of making America a Third World Country, and they were invited by a political party that has never been in favor of the concept of America as described in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. The people, over the years, have become complacent. They keep voting for the incumbent out of habit, not because the incumbent served them and the country. Then along comes a non-politician. He is not of the political persuasion. He is a businessman. His idea of running the country is business-oriented. Run the country efficiently; maintain law and order; and uphold the Constitution and the laws of God and Nature. Of course, this cannot be tolerated by those who do not believe in the American way. Therefore, every policy change is being challenged by the Democratic-led courts, which are an offshoot of the American-hating party. Additionally, certain states, cities, governors, and Representatives belonging to the American-hating party continue to violate the provisions in the Constitution. How voters cannot see that their representatives are not representing them but doing the bidding of their party just contributes to the possible fall of the nation as it was founded.
To all of the above, one must not ignore the Supreme Court, especially its Chief Justice, for failing to admonish or fire those local and Federal judges who have ignored or misinterpreted the Constitution when making rulings that affect the legal orders of the President.
As I approach my 9th decade of life, I cannot help but wonder if I wasted my time serving my country, only to see it collapsing around me.
