Honor, service, integrity, respect, trust, courage and duty

Since the first police department was formed in 1845, thousands of men and women have taken the oath to protect and serve. Every day, these brave individuals put on their uniforms and say goodbye to their loved ones without the certainty that they’ll return. No matter the circumstance, police officers continuously strive to uphold their vow to protect others. Jan. 9 marks National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Since 2015, this gives the public a chance to show its gratitude to the over 900,000 law enforcement officers in our nation. In light of this, we invite you to support ...

Weather and highways

This is about the highway disaster on January 3, 2025., on Route 220. Remember, we had a sudden snowburst, the one that was predicted to hit the valley, and no Lycoming Penn Dot trucks in sight? Truth matters

Very soon reality may sink in for many voters as Trump’s team talks about making cuts in Social Security and Medicare as well as eliminating Obamacare, affecting 50 million Americans, in order to give tax cuts to the wealthy. It should have been obvious as Trump surrounded himself with billionaires who are directing policy. Despite Fox News being sued for $787.5 million by Dominion Voting Systems for saying the voting machines were bad, and Fox admitting they lied about a fraudulent election, people believed Trump when he said the election was stolen. He criticized our election ...
