Montoursville improved to 3-4 in its inaugural girls volleyball season with a win over Northeast Bradford, 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-22). Laney Yonkin and Ruth Lauchle had five and eight aces, respectively, while Yonkin added another six kills. Dahlia Campbell and Sydney Clark had five kills each.

The Warriors travel to Shamokin on Saturday.

Hughesville lost to Wellsboro, 3-1 (25-13, 25-18, 21-25, 25-21) and Loyalsock, 3-0 (25-18, 31-29, 25-18).

Against the Green Hornets, Ella Mowery posted 12 assists and four digs. Addy Mowrey had five kills and five digs, Anna Easton had nine kills, six digs, seven blocks, three aces and an assist and Abbie Miller had five kills with five digs.

In Hughesville’s match with Loyalsock, Mowrey had a team-high nine assists with three digs.A ddison Henninger added five assists, Easton had seven kills, three digs and three blocks and Ava Gorg had two kills, two aces and a dig.
