• Freshman Laurel Fite found the back of the cage in the second quarter and the Lycoming College field hockey team made it stand up in a 1-0 victory over Juniata College in a Landmark Conference matchup.
Lycoming (10-5, 4-3) bounced back from an overtime setback with Elizabethtown to best Juniata (2-15, 0-7) and reach double-digit wins in a season for the first time in program history, as well as setting a new program record for conference wins and securing just the third winning season in the school’s history and the first winning mark since 1978.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Warriors took the lead just over five minutes into the second quarter, when Fite took a nifty no-look pass from senior Haley Woodring and deposited it between the keeper’s legs and into the cage for her seventh goal of the season, matching the team lead and giving the Warriors a 1-0 lead.
Lock Haven fell to Bucknell, 4-0, in a non-conference game at Charlotte Smith Field. Lock Haven held Bucknell scoreless through the first quarter, but the Bison found the back of the cage in each of the final three periods to secure the win.
Despite the outcome, the Bald Eagles defense was outstanding and allowed just four scores despite facing a game high 31 shots (22 OG) and 13 penalty corners.
• The Mansfield Mountaineers women’s soccer team finished their 2025 season on at Shippensburg, with the Raiders grabbing the 3-0 victory. Shippensburg (3-6-3) posted two goals within three minutes of each other to hold the 2-0 advantage after thirty minutes, before finishing in the 80th minute for the Wednesday decision.
