Warriors fall in Landmark Conference semifinals, 3-0, in men’s soccer

WASHINGTON, D.C.–The sixth-seeded Lycoming College men’s soccer team saw their season come to a close on Wednesday, Nov. 5, as they were defeated 3-0 by second-seeded Catholic University of America in the Landmark Conference Championship semifinals.

Catholic (12-0-6) stayed unbeaten for the season and moved on to face No. 5 seed Drew in the Landmark Conference Championship finals on Saturday. Lycoming saw their season come to a close at 7-7-5.

The Cardinals fired off 11 shots in the first half, with their first goal coming in the 30th minute when Carson Shamoo scored unassisted. Just under three minutes later, Azarias Tewodros found Donik Elshani for the second Catholic score, giving the Cardinals a 2-0 lead at the break.
