Lock Haven men’s wrestling falls to Northwestern in dual 19-13

EVANSTON, Ill. – The Lock Haven men’s wrestling team capped its weekend in the Midwest with a non-conference clash at Northwestern on Friday night. Northwestern won the match 19-13.

After Northwestern jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead, No. 22 Wyatt Henson picked up a ranked victory at 141 pounds by downing No. 27 Billy Dekraker with a 13-4 major decision.

Nick Stampoulos brought the Bald Eagles within two points at 9-7 after he defeated Gunner Myers with a 4-2 decision at 157.

However, Northwestern won the next three bouts to put the match out of reach.

No. 32 Tucker Hogan and Kade Sottolano won the final two matches of the night at 197 and 285 by decision and tiebreaker to round out the winners for The Haven.
