Starting off the new year on the right foot were a host of bowlers with some great scores. Tim Day used games of 300 and 299 in the Monday Night Classic League to fashion an 856 series, outgunning Tom Sobiech’s second 800 series in as many weeks, an 812 in the Thursday Night Bowling League.

Four women posted a 700 series with Alicia Edkin leading the way with a 764 in the Intercommunity League, followed by Sandra Confer’s 738 in that same league, Brittany Weidler’s second 700 series in as many weeks, a 708 in the Thursday Night Bowling league, and Natalie Whitesell’s 701 in the Thursday Morning Mixed League. Whitesell’s series included a 279 game, which captured high women’s game honors for the week.

Also tossing perfect games were Scott Roberts in the Sunday Night Social League, and Beau Vincenzes in the Brenda Welshans Memorial League. Coming close to perfection was Tom Long’s 299 game in the Faxxn Sport League, which was more than 100 pins above his average, and Ernie Wentzel’s 299 in the Thursday Night Bowling League. Most pins over average for the women was Natasha Mercando’s 235 game which exceeded her average by more than 100 pins in the Lycoming Engines League.
