MANSFIELD – The Mansfield University men’s basketball team competed in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action on January 15 against East Stroudsburg, dropping the contest 102-76.

Sterling Scott led the red and black with 22 points and four rebounds. Diarmid Stewart collected 19 points and eight rebounds.

ESU (12-4, 5-3 PSAC)built an early lead with pressure defense and kept momentum throughout the game.

Mansfield ( 1-13, 0-9 PSAC) worked back into the game in the second half to generate opportunities in transition but were unable to break through.

The Mountaineers are scheduled to compete on Saturday against Shepherd, with tip-off set for 3 p.m.
