LHU women defeat Kutztown in PSAC clash
LOCK HAVEN — The Lock Haven women’s basketball team led from start to finish to secure its 11th straight victory, in a 65-54 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) win over Kutztown at home on Saturday.
Lock Haven continued its dominance in the PSAC Eastern Division and won its 11th straight game to improve to 11-0 in the East, while moving to 17-5 overall and 13-3 in the overall conference.
Lock Haven also improved to an impressive 11-1 in front of the home crowd of Thomas Fieldhouse. The Haven has already clinched a berth to the PSAC Championship Tournament.
KU, the second-place team in the East, is now 13-9 on the year and 9-6 in the conference.
Alana Robinson turned in a monstrous effort on both end of the floor and finished with a game-high six steals, two blocks, four assists, nine rebounds and 13 points.
Nufi Nemale-Djiegoue and Madeline Evans netted a team-high 15 points each, while Evans added 12 rebounds for a double-double and Nemale knocked down three shots from behind the arch.
