Neumann’s Thompson named Mid-Penn MVP in boys basketball

Daiton Thompson helped lead St. John Neumann to the District 4 boys basketball playoffs and that effort was a key reason why the senior Golden Knight earned Mid-Penn MVP honors this year.
In addition, Sullivan County senior Tucker Blasi was named Mid-Penn Defensive Player of the Year while Sullivan County’s Glenn Vaughan was named Coach of the Year.
Earning first-team honors were South Williamsport’s Levi Butler, Montgomery’s Parker Bennett, Muncy’s Jaxton Frantz, Bucktail’s Gavin Pick and Sullivan County’s Colin King. Earning second-team honors included South Williamsport’s Chance Quimby, Muncy’s Dominic Guardini, Millville’s Shane Johnson, Sullivan County’s Lucas King and South Williamsprot’s Andrew Walter.
