PCT’s Trimber takes second at Rennie Rodarmel Allstate Invitational

Ryan Trimber placed second, and Penn College wrestlers claimed two fourth-place and one fifth-place to finish seventh among nine teams at the Rennie Rodarmel Allstate Invitational at Lycoming College on Sunday.

Wrestling at 141 pounds, Trimber won his first two matches on falls before dropping a major decision in his finale. Also for the Wildcats, Justin Adams went 2-1 at 125 and then took a medical forfeit in his last bout to place fourth, Tyler Prince opened with a win by pin and then lost twice to place fourth at 197, and Chase Shaner opened with a loss before winning his next four bouts, the last two with falls, to place fifth at 141. The only other Penn College wrestler posting a win was Cavin Napoletano, who went 1-2 at 157.

ost Lycoming captured the team title with 156.5 points. Following were Misericordia 110.5, Scranton 96.5, King’s 80, Pitt-Bradford 74.5, Utica 59.5, Penn College 41, Muhlenberg 26, and Keystone 24.5.

Penn College hosts the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14.
