Easton Waller threw a five-hitter and smashed a three-run home run, helping Loyalsock defeat Danville, 8-5 at Short Park. Waller struck out six and her home run gave the Lancers (2-1) a 4-0 second-inning lead.

Maddie Wertz hit an RBI double and Addi Barowy and Sophia Miller both had hits and RBIs for Loyalsock. Shyla Fulp also collected a hit.

Mikaiya Hills had a hit and Emma McLaughlin an RBI for South Williamsport, but Erin Knapp’s three-run first inning home run and one-hit pitching was too much to overcome as Troy defeated it, 12-2 in five innings.

• In boys tennis, South Williamsport improved to 2-0 with a 5-0 win against North Penn-Liberty.

Carson Harris earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles over Ray Nickerson. At No. 2 singles, Dylan Webb beat Silas Boiywo, 6-3, 6-2.

South Williamsport’s doubles team of Levi Jackson and David Miller earned a 6-2, 6-1 win against Ayden Deitrick and Toby Nolt at No. 1 and at No. 2, Cameron Stahl and Nate Miller beat Liberty’s Andre Reed and Dan Fortney, 6-1, 6-1.

Montoursville dropped to 3-2 after a tough 3-2 loss to Loyalsock. Montoursville’s Colby Ulmer won at No. 2 singles for the Warriors’ lone singles victory, beating Nathaniel DePrenda, 6-3, 6-4.

Loyalsock’s Elijah Lin won at No. 1 against Teli Bobotas, 6-1, 6-1, and at No. 3 singles, Loyalsock’s David Bjorkman beat Cole Snyder, 6-4, 6-3.

The Bulldogs’ third win came at No. 1 doubles where the team of Abram Paulhamus and Dillon Harsanyi beat James Doughtie and Gideon Lawton, 7-6 (8-7), 6-4.

Wellsboro’s Tavi Wyman and Stephen Poirier won an exciting contest at No. 1 doubles against Abram Bower and Camdon Stellfox. The Green Hornet pair won the first set, 6-2. Bower and Stellfox won the second set 7-6 (7-4) to force a third, which Wellsboro won 10-7.
