Montgomery baseball earns 7-1 win over rival Muncy in rain-shortened game

MONTGOMERY — On a rainy afternoon in Montgomery, the Red Raiders defeated rival Muncy on Friday, 7-1, in a five-inning, rain-shortened game. In the top of the first inning, Jameson Barlow connected a single, starting Muncy off on a strong start with a runner on base. Later, Barlow scored after Vincenzo Finochiaro recorded an RBI single to go ahead, 1-0, early. Finochiaro stole second, sliding through the bases to try and make it home. Penn State’s Wright brings Gonzalez onto the roster for women's basketball

STATE COLLEGE — Penn State women’s basketball coach Tanisha Wright announces the signing of graduate transfer Enjulina Gonzalez to her 2026-27 roster. Gonzalez becomes the fifth portal addition for Wright in the off season. Lycoming lands 3 on All-Landmark team

The Lycoming College softball team saw a trio of seniors selected to the All-Landmark Conference softball team, with Mallory Rodarmel, a Loyalsock graduate, earning second team honors in the outfield and Alex Eckerson and Hailee Sobieski each earning Honorable Mention nods at second base and third base, respectively. This is the first all-conference selection for all three players and the first time the Warriors have had multiple all-conference picks since also having a trio selected in 2024. The Williamsport Crosscutters will be hosting a local pitch, hit and run competition to be held Sunday, June 7 at Bowman Field.
