Hughesville softball beats Liberty to advance to District 4 Class AAA semifinals

HUGHESVILLE — During Tuesday's District 4 Class AAA quarterfinal playoff game at Hughesville, the Spartans won against the North Penn-Liberty Mounties, 4-1, to advance to the semifinals. “Once we know who we’re playing against, we’ll go from there,” Hughesville coach David Dimoff said. It may have taken a few hours to find out, but the Spartans will face top-seeded Mifflinburg on Thursday at Elm Park for a 3 p.m. semifinal contest.
