Cogan Station man charged with reckless endangerment after firearm discharge

As she was playing loud music, at the recommendation of a wildlife group to deter a group of foxes from residing under her pool deck, an alleged victim suddenly heard a shot.
“That’s a warning. Turn the music down,” neighbor Curtis Mace, 60, of 120 Beaver St., Cogan Station, then allegedly shouted, according to a Lycoming Regional Police affidavit.
Two other occupants of Mace’s residence confirmed the alleged victim’s account.
Mace allegedly admitted to authorities that he had fired a 12-gauge turkey load round into the air, stating that it was a “warning shot” in response to the alleged victim’s music.
“Out here in the country, we deal with it,” Mace allegedly told police when questioned on why he didn’t try other methods to resolve the issue, according to court documents.
District Judge William Solomon arraigned Mace on charges of recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct.
