The transfer station operated by Lycoming County Resource Management Services (LCRMS), 1475 West Third St. will be closed Wednesday for mandatory equipment maintenance and repair, according to information from LCRMS. It is expected to reopen to the public and waste hauler Thursday at 8:30 a.m.

The repair is necessary for the continued operation of the facility.

LCRMS is urging people to make the “proper adjustments” for waste.”

During the temporary shutdown, waste and recyclables can be taken to the county’s landfill at 447 Alexander Dr., Montgomery. The landfill hours of operation for Wednesday are 7 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
