State Rep. Joe Hamm, R-Hepburn Township, is hosting a Public Town Hall with the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission regarding the upcoming Dam Project scheduled for Rose Valley Lake.

This free event is open to the public and will take place on Thursday, April 30, at 6:30 p.m. at the Eldred Township Volunteer Fire Company Social Hall.

The $5 million project will include rehabilitation of the dam embankment and spillway to meet PA Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) dam safety standards. Once construction begins, the project is expected to last approximately a year and a half. The purpose of the meeting is to have Fish & Boat Leadership, Habitat Management, and Engineering staff provide an update on this project.

There will be sufficient time for questions and answers so everyone can get specific responses about the project directly from the Fish & Boat Commission. Last year, the Fish & Boat Commission lifted all seasons, sizes, and creel limit restrictions at Rose Valley Lake in anticipation of the lake draw down. The temporary regulations will remain posted on signage around Rose Valley Lake and remain in place until further notice.
