Penn State football tops Maryland on the road

Penn State put an end to its three-game losing streak by pulling away from Maryland, 31-14, Saturday at Maryland Stadium. Jahan Dotson caught 11 passes for 242 yards -- a new Penn State single-game record -- and three touchdowns. Dotson's 86-yard TD from Sean Clifford broke a 14-14 tie early in the fourth quarter. Central Mountain loses in District 6 Class 5A championship game

Central Mountain’s 2021 season ended abruptly Friday night in the District 6 Class 5A championship. Hollidaysburg used a big second half performance to pull away from the Wildcats and earn a 42-21 victory. “These kids have had a lot of opportunities to quit, and they haven’t. I’m really proud of that. I think this a season that could’ve gone really south, really quick. I’m very thankful they kept pushing and continued to practice. Milton football blanks North Penn-Mansfield, 35-0

In the District 4 Class AAA quarterfinals, the Black Panthers played excellent in all facets to win, 35-0, on Friday night. Offensively, Milton had 367 total yards of offense, 289 of which came of the ground. Chris Doyle ran for 113 and four touchdowns and Ashton Canelo had 98 on 14 carries and a score.
