MONTOURSVILLE- It was hard to imagine things could have been scripted any better for Montoursville in the first quarter of its District 4 Class AAA quarterfinal game against Athens. The Warriors got an unexpected boost from their special teams when Matt Conklin returned the opening kickoff 79 yards for a touchdown. Canton was staring down the barrel of coming up just short of the District 4 Class A volleyball championship. The Warriors trailed the decisive fifth set, 9-5, in a race to 15, and longtime coach Shelia Wesneski knew her Warriors needed a timeout. Mansfield University field hockey sophomores Alex Esterling, Hannah Meyer and Saramae Radel were named to the PSAC All-Conference team.
