Music Club presents 83rd Christmas Music by Candlelight

The Williamsport Music Club invites the community to attend its Music by Candlelight program, slated for 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5. The Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St., Williamsport, will host this event, which has been held annually — with the exception of 2020 due to COVID-19 — since the club’s organization in 1937. Kay Huffman, longtime member, is chair of the program featuring beloved Christmas music. British ensemble coming to sing in Happy Valley

British vocal ensemble Voces8 will return to Penn State with “After Silence,” a program of choral works inspired by Aldous Huxley’s thoughts on the essential force of music. The Susquehanna Valley Shutterbugs have set the opening night reception for their Annual “Themed” Photography Show from 6 to 8 p.m., Oct. 8 at the Thomas Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society in Williamsport.
