Per Center for Disease Control and Governor Tom Wolf’s COVID-19 regulations, both the Gallery at Penn College and Lycoming College, pushed their pandemic reopenings to late spring of 2021 for student art shows. A community-favorite event, First Friday, is coming up this week, leading into the Fourth of July holiday, with a new and themed selfie-wall outside of Alabaster Coffee and “Americana” themed kids craft outside of the Lycoming Arts office. “The businesses are open later for First Friday, so come on down, stop by the shops and see what they have going on,” said Shanin Dougherty, co-chair of the First Friday committee. Comedian plans return to Billtown

Rodney Carrington will return to the Community Arts Center in downtown Williamsport on Oct. 29. Carrington is a multi-talented comedian, actor, singer and writer playing sold-out shows around the world as one of the top 10 highest-grossing touring comedians for the past two decades.
