City man faces terroristic threats charge
Just days before he was to be released from jail, an inmate at the Lycoming County pre-release center was charged with terroristic threats following an incident at the county landfill on Alexander Drive in Brady Township, according to a county detective.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of Jan. 4 when inmate William Watson, 32, was assigned to the landfill, which is operated by Lycoming County Resource Management Services, court records stated.
After working at a pre-sort line, Watson, of 107 Sixth St., was to assist other workers in cleaning up the main floor of the facility, investigators said. However, Watson started to walk away, and when a supervisor asked him where he was going, he began using obscene language and told the supervisor “I don’t have to listen to you,” according to an affidavit.
When the supervisor ordered him back to work, Watson replied “I get out in five days. I got a gun, and I’m going to use it on you,” investigators alleged. He has since waived his preliminary hearing before District Judge Allen P. Page III and is now free on $5,000 bail.
